Remove processed sugar. Use the ingredient list on labels and packages to see sugar content. Less is better, but none is best.
Limit or eliminate processed foods. Processed foods have extra calories and are usually filled with fillers. Removing these will allow for a lower caloric intake.

Try to include a vegetable and fruit in every meal to feel full and satiated.
Limit eating out at restaurants or using SkipTheDishes to once or twice a week because portion size and unhealthy calories may be greater than you'd typically have. Prep and pack your food. Always be prepared.
SNACK LESS. Please read that again, write it down, and put it on your fridge or a cupboard. I've been working with women for eight years, and decisively, there are three common reasons why you snack. Reason one is you aren't eating enough food at each meal. Reason two is about not being hydrated, and reason three has to do with your emotions (if you're eating due to being emotional, I suggest talking to a professional to help you gain a healthy relationship with food).

Don't eat your kid's leftovers. This may trigger you because you hate waste, and you feel bad, but don't do it. Eating leftover chicken strips, fries or pasta, or anything carb-related only adds calories and does NOTHING to complement your health journey.
