
Girls Youth Sports Injury Prevention and Management
A summer program designed to assist girls aged 11-14 with an understanding of injury prevention, management, and basics of weight training
What’s included :
What You’ll Learn
How to move your bodies properly: Fundamentals of proper body mechanics during training and performance
Basics: Weight lifting, flexibility, and agility training to improve speed and strength while ensuring safety!
Positive Habits: Why building pre/post workout habits such as warming up/cooling down helps improve performance
Specific exercise programming: Injury prevention for the ankles, hips, knees, and back
Core understanding of injury management: basic recovery exercises and guidelines to avoid or manage common sports
About Lizzie
Elizabeth Bettles is a Practicing Kinesiologist with over 10 years of experience in personal training and injury rehabilitation.
She holds a BSc in Kinesiology from Queen's University and a Master of Health Administration from UBC. Active in youth soccer coaching in the Tri-Cities, Elizabeth also plays competitive soccer in the Metro Women's Soccer League.
