Things to Do Before the End of The Year
If you can even believe it, Christmas is ALMOST here, and right after that, it will be 2022. I think with the pandemic and everything going on in the world, a lot of us forgot to focus on nutrition and fitness and were waiting for things to go "Back-To-Normal," and then, back to normal just didn't arrive.
So, until we wait for "normal" to return, it's time to lace up those runners, plan those meal plans and get our fitness back on track! Here are my five things you MUST do before year-end to ensure you start your 2022 off the right way!
Plan. The time to plan for 2022 is now. You have a week between Christmas and New Year, and this is a great time to start researching and planning your attack for the new you! Decide what your goals are and how you are going to reach them.
Set up a fitness schedule. Do you have everything you need? Workout clothing, gym equipment, classes booked at your favourite class (pilates, yoga, etc.), sessions with a personal trainer?
Set yourself up for nutritional success. Plan meals and grocery shopping in advance.
Set SMART goals; Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and anchored to a time frame. I.E. "I want to burn at least 1,000 calories through running on the treadmill this week".
Understand the WHY of your lifestyle goals. Is it because you want to better your health for the future. Do you want to be more confident in yourself? Do you want to sleep better? Once you decide and understand the WHY of your goals, it's easier to keep yourself accountable.
